Data & security
Measurement without surveillance.
Sismo measures totals. It never follows a person, in your app or on TikTok. Here is exactly what it reads, what it never reads, and how it keeps it.
What Sismo reads
Three sources, all of them totals.
-
1
Your download counter
Totals from the source you choose: App Store or Google Play downloads, or an event in your analytics such as sign-ups. Sismo receives counts, never a list of users.
-
2
Public video statistics
For the videos a client asks Sismo to follow: views, likes, comments and shares, with the caption and the posting date. The same public figures anyone sees on the video.
-
3
TikTok accounts connected to Sismo
When the owner of a TikTok account connects it through TikTok's official login, Sismo receives what the owner authorizes on TikTok's consent screen: the account's basic profile and the list of its public videos with their statistics.
What Sismo never reads
No person, anywhere.
Sismo has no use for who your users are. It only needs to know how many there were, and when.
- The names, emails, phone numbers, device or advertising identifiers of your users.
- Anything on your users' phones: no pixel, no SDK, no cookie.
- Private videos, drafts or messages of a TikTok account.
- Anything that would let Sismo post, comment or act on an account.
How it is kept
Isolated, traceable, never sold.
One isolated workspace per client
Each client's data lives in its own workspace. Access rules enforced by the database itself keep a client from ever reading another client's data.
Nothing overwritten
Readings are stored as they arrive, with the time they were taken. Figures are derived from them and can always be recomputed.
Keys stay on our servers
Access keys to your analytics are stored on the server side, used read-only, and never sent to a browser.
Sign-in without passwords
Members sign in with a one-time link sent to their email address. Nothing to share, nothing to leak.
Where it lives
Sismo's database is hosted in Paris, France. The website and the web app are served by Vercel.
This website
No cookies, no trackers, no analytics, nothing loaded from another domain. Its security policy blocks scripts entirely.
If you connect a TikTok account
Your TikTok data, in plain words.
A brand, or a creator who posts for one, can connect a TikTok account to Sismo with TikTok's official login. The owner of the account decides, on TikTok's own consent screen.
- What Sismo receives
- The account's basic profile (display name, avatar and a technical identifier) and the list of its public videos with their views, likes, comments and shares. Nothing beyond what the owner authorizes.
- What it is for
- One purpose: measuring the downloads that the account's videos bring to the brand it works with. Never advertising, never profiling, never resold.
- Who sees it
- The members of that brand's workspace, and Sismo's team to run the service.
- How to stop
- The owner can revoke Sismo's access at any time from the TikTok settings where connected apps are listed. Sismo then stops reading the account.
- How to delete
- When access is revoked, or on request at contact@sismohq.com, the data obtained from TikTok is deleted.
